Contaminants identified in sludge. John Werring, Senior Science Advisor with the Suzuki Foundation, recently visited our area and listened to concerns raised by the Chiefs & members of Friends of the Nicola Valley. He also took samples from some of the biosolids which had been dumped in the valley. The results from the independent lab’s tests showed numbers indicating that the “soils” could be categorized as a “contaminated site” according to the BC Contaminated Sites Regulations guidelines — if they were not biosolids.
