There’s no scientific method to forecasting the weather, but the Farmer’s Almanac seems to have done a pretty good job last fall, when it published its ‘2016 winter outlook’! During Eastern & Central Canada’s deep freeze over the weekend, the coldest temperature was Lac Benoit, Que at -46°C and many records were broken.

FONV support biosolids protestors in Clinton. On Saturday, members of Friends of the Nicola Valley joined protesters gathered in Clinton in a bid to stop the dumping of sewage sludge in the Big Bar Lake area. Biosolids protestors there ramped up their efforts following a spill in Big Bar Creek on February 4th.
