New census data. Yesterday, Statistics Canada released population stats for 2016… on their every-5-year schedule. Merritt’s population has grown by a whopping 26 people (7,139 in 2016, compared to 7,113 in 2011). That’s a growth rate of 0.4%. However, that was before the Tolko shutdown…
