Great to hear about the wireless emergency alert test and system. But there remain many large areas in the TNRD that do not have cell service. I think it’s time for Telus to establish coverage for neighbourhoods west of Lower Nicola, all along Highway 8, Spence’s Bridge and HWY 1. Emergency communication is surely part of reasonable expectations today for all citizens. Yes, it might involved some expense. But if the system is to be used for official communications, it is vital not to leave out whole communities.
