Letter to the editor: Re:Nic Beers’ letter of Friday Jan 4/19. I agree with your 4 steps, Nic; but the ‘solution’ is to find the most cost-effective, environmentally acceptable way to use Nicola Lake to retain freshet waters, as recommended by the Urban Systems report.  That will ensure (as much as we can ensure anything when Mother Nature is involved) that  flooding risk is diminished, and possibly eliminated…
