
The community comes together to start the healing process. Yesterday afternoon a drumming circle was held downtown at Spirit Square to honour families of the lost children of the residential schools in Kamloops and across Canada. Prayers, stories, hopes for healing in the future — so moving. And also a rallying cry to the Canadian govt & non-Indigenous people to end the time of saying ‘sorry’, and move on to action to heal the inter-generational trauma.
Saturday is the first ‘BC Trails Day’. On Saturday, June 5, outdoor recreation groups all across BC will be uniting to celebrate the first-ever BC Trails Day. The Outdoor Recreation Council of BC (ORCBC) is partnering with volunteer groups, the public and land agencies to celebrate and care for BC’s trail system, educate about responsible recreation and help more British Columbians enjoy trails and outdoor spaces…
