Major new fuel-from-air project announced for Merritt & the Nicola Valley. Yesterday, the BC Govt, along with cleantech industry leaders Squamish-based Huron Clean Energy with its partners, the Upper Nicola Band, Oxy Low Carbon Ventures and Carbon Engineering, announced a “first-of-its-kind plant in Merritt to capture carbon dioxide and convert it to clean fuels, creating new jobs and economic opportunities in BC’s cleantech sector”.
