
Grounbreaking on old visitor centre. Yesterday, local first nations along with municipal & provincial partners held a ground breaking ceremony at Gateway 286. The project has been in the works for about the past 30 years. The land it sits on is part of Nlaka’pamux and Sylix traditional territories, part of which was developed in 2005 by the Province as a rest stop and visitor info centre. The centre was closed in 2018 after which the Province transferred 11.6 hectares of the land back to the First Nations…
