Finally, mid winter. Earlier this week was Groundhod Day (and in our part of the country, anyway, there will NOT be another 6 weeks of winter!!). Family Day is our new mid-winter break. And of course Chinese New Year — Year of the Fire (or Red) Monkey — is on the same day, Feb 8… the second new moon after the winter solstice. There’s Mardi Gras on Feb 9th, then Valentine’s Day wraps up mid-winter…
