The Goldie & McCulloch Company Limited produced safes from 1891 to 1923, in Galt, Ont. This one was customized for Archibald and Frank Jackson, who built the building at the corner of Voght & Nicola in 1910. It housed the Bank of Montreal, post office, and medical & dental practices, and eventually Post Meat Market. The Nicola Valley Community Arts Council is the latest tenant in the prominent downtown building. Their new gallery opens October 15.
